Undead Chariot

The Undead Liche Lord Kemal riding to battle on Pameshirshem, an animated chariot of bone. Originating from ancient lands Lord Kemal has maintained his existence through a stubborn quest for perfection in the mastery of dark arts, and will stop at nothing to further his abilities.

The Dread King

Carried forth on his undead nightmare steed, the Dread King Murillo rides into the lands of the living, leading his undead host in their thirst for vengeance of ancient wrongs.

Bring out ya dead...

Emerging from the gloom the dreaded Corpse Cart of the Host of the Pale King acts as a locus of unholy power. 

Undead Carrion Fell Bat Thingys

Carried aloft on foul wings, these carrion beasts soar into the skies above the undead host of the Dread Pale King, scouting out enemies for the fell host.

Once sighted, the Necromancers controlling these rotting beasts are able to coordinate the host on the ground, while the carrion beasts act as heralds in advance of the main host, preying on the enemy vanguard as they swoop down silently on rotting wings to prey on the enemy.

Once battle is joined, the carrion beasts are able to fly over the front lines of the enemy into the support elements of the enemy, and can be reanimated again and again, allowing the necromancers to harry the foe relentlessly.

The Pledge for 2017

What I said I'd do, what I did and what I say I will do.

In 2016 I pledged that I would do the following:

1. Paint up the 28mm Death Blades models that I currently own. Purchase what bits I need to do this.
2. Paint up the 6mm Death Guard Models that I own. Including the supporting Titan Legion.
3. Purchase and paint some heavy vehicles for the 6mm Death Blades.
4. Paint up some Dark Future models, including purchasing some models on foot.
5. Finish rolling up and modelling my Nurgle Warbands for Realms of Chaos.
6. Find a like minded gaming group and play some games.
7. Keep going with the Old Lead Undead. Hopefully at a faster rate than 1 model per year.

Archers!

Led by their fell champion, the damned archers of the host of the Dread King unleash another barrage on the foe.

Undead Battle Standard Bearer

The Infernal Standard of the Pale King borne by a dread champion of Death.

Screaming Skulls

Overseen by their dark master the screaming skull catapults rain death on the foe.

The Dark Duke Vperit

The Dark Duke Vperit, using necromantic arts to raise minions from death to do his bidding.

Great Weapons there Grave Guard.

A powerful host of armoured skeletons prepare to engage the foe.

Undead Samurai Anko and Zol

The Champion of the Undead Samurai, Anko, and one of his men, Zol, continue the long fight against their enemies.

Casket of Souls

Guarded by his minions, the dread keeper of the casket unleashes the fell power contained within.

Morbius the Liche

Morbius the Liche commands his undead host to advance. 

Ennio Mordini

Sustained by his thirst for vengeance Ennio Mordini of the Nightmare Legion bests another enemy hero.

Necromancer Valignano

A master of the dark arts of necromancy, Valignano summons forth minions of death to do his bidding.

More undead samurai!

Undead samurai summoned forth and stalking the lands of the living.

I have added another five undead samurai to the growing ranks of my undead horde, brining it up to a whopping eight finished models. These five were batch painted, and don't seem to have suffered too much for it, so I will probably be doing that again for the rest of the rank and file models in this army.

I have pretty much settled on a palette now too, so hopefully I can knuckle down and make some good progress on these.

Undead Samurai Chi

Another undead samurai from the dark depths of 1985, this one didn't need paint stripping, so was the next choice to paint! I decided to paint him up using warm colours, the same as the other two, as I thought that looked ok. I'm slowly settling on a theme for these, with a brown basecoat, and black and red armour. Chi is armed with a yari (straight bladed spear), which I've added some spot orange and yellow rust to.
