The Pledge for 2017

What I said I'd do, what I did and what I say I will do.

In 2016 I pledged that I would do the following:

1. Paint up the 28mm Death Blades models that I currently own. Purchase what bits I need to do this.
2. Paint up the 6mm Death Guard Models that I own. Including the supporting Titan Legion.
3. Purchase and paint some heavy vehicles for the 6mm Death Blades.
4. Paint up some Dark Future models, including purchasing some models on foot.
5. Finish rolling up and modelling my Nurgle Warbands for Realms of Chaos.
6. Find a like minded gaming group and play some games.
7. Keep going with the Old Lead Undead. Hopefully at a faster rate than 1 model per year.

DIY Epic Hellblades

Odium Aeternum Walks!

The heaviest titan yet sighted in Battlegroup Infidel, the Legio Mortis warlord Titan Odium Aeternum has been fighting alongside the XIVth Legion since the great crusade.

Like other titans in the battlegroup, it shows a high level of superficial damage from prolonged deployments in hostile war zones, yet remains fully combat effective. 

Legio Mortis Death's Heads Reavers

The Legio Mortis reaver titans Bellator Deus and Immitis Rex of Battlegroup Infidel.

The Titans of Battlegroup Infidel were used relentlessly by the Traitor Mechanicum forces during the Age of Darkness, and were deployed in support of the forces of the XIVth Legion for the majority of the Heresy.
Note the extensive superficial damage the Titans are displaying, probably as a result of the breakdown in supply lines and support structure that most forces encountered during the Age of Darkness.
While often deployed in warzones for long periods the battlegroup was not completely without support, and enough Mechanicum assets were present to enable their weaponry to be re-fitted and all but the most major repairs undertaken to ensure the war engines remained fit for purpose while on mission.

Legio Ignatum Warhound Praedetor.

Praedetor is one of the few Titans currently fighting as part of the 22nd army group. The Titans pledged to the 22nd were committed to the force when Legio Ignatum learned that they were potentially going to face elements of their hated enemies Legio Mortis.

Consequently the Legio Ignatum Titans like Praedetor were armed by their masters with weapons suitable for combating enemy war engines, ensuring that they execute their own internal mandate and are not distracted by lesser foes.

Legio Mortis Warhounds

The Legio Mortis Warhounds Ferrum Venator and Typhonicus Morte are scout titans of Battlegroup Infidel, a Death's Head Maniple that often fought alongside the Death Guard Legion in larger engagements.
Due to the hostile nature of the environments that the Death Guard were deployed in, and the decline in regular supply lines during the age of darkness, the titans of Battlegroup Infidel accumulated large amounts of superficial damage while deployed. Note the excessive amounts of corrosion present on the titan's weaponry and lower legs, most likely due to the hostile nature they were deployed in, possibly as a result of the weaponry utilised by the Death Guard themselves.
The corrosion on the Inferno Cannons may be a result of chemical munitions, which were heavily utilised by the Death Guard, and by their allies as supply and needs permitted.

The Pledge 2016

So at the start of last year I said:
"My pledge for 2015 is:

1. Complete repainting my Death Blades in both 40k and Epic.
2. Figure out what I am doing with my Epic Death Guard and get them done.
3. Finish painting one other army.
4. Commence painting my Old Lead Undead.
5. Roll up and model 40k and WH warbands from ROC:The Lost and the Damned.
6. Play at least one game of Epic, 40k, RoC and Warhammer (hopefully 3rd).
7. Spend no more than $300 on models, paint and other loot."

Epic Cybernetica

I've had these old Epic Colossus robots painted for quite a while now, but never got around to adding them in to any of my armies.

After rediscovering my old titans in storage I decided to paint them as an addition to my Legio Mortis force.

Legio Mortis Reinforcements

So after about a decade in storage I cracked open my old Space Marine box. It felt like Christmas had come early! Inside I found all sorts of metal and plastic treasures, including a little box of chaos titan bits; and look what was in there!

Behold! The Wrathchild!

A Goth Class Reaver Titan with a particularly aggressive machine spirit, the Wrathchild is treated with suspicion, and on occasion hostility, by the tech priests that maintain it, having earned a reputation of having a vicious and uncontrollable nature. However in the eyes of the Necromundan gangers it fights alongside, who have similar traits, the Wrathchild is respected and awed above all other titans in the battlegroup.
